Windy Birdwatching on Anglesey
Windy birdwatching on Anglesey
The weather forecast for Monday was dire: galeforce winds lashing the north and west of the country but that didn't put us off as we went out with Rob and Lin for a day's guided birdwatching on Anglesey.
We called in at Cefni Reservoir and caught up with the juvenile Garganey that has been showing here on and off as well as a host of other wildfowl.

At Beddmanarch Bay we enjoyed good views of Mediterranean Gull.

But Bird of the Day had to be Great Shearwater which flew past us at an extremely blowy South Stack, what an amazing sight!

So it just goes to show, you shouldn't let a little bit of bad weather put you off going out birding, you never know what you might see!
