What is a Cookie

A cookie, also known as an HTTP cookie, web cookie, or browser cookie, is a piece of data stored by a website within a browser, and then subsequently sent back to the same website by the browser. Log files

We are on the road again come and say hello



We are heading out on another Leica Birdbox Tour this week visiting five wonderful places in Wales. Each day we will be talking birds, birding and binocualrs and holding a free prize draw for a pair of Leica binoculars. We will also have lots of information on the latest bird sighting in each area and beyound. We would love to chat with you about your bird experiences and find out what you have been seeing recently. Red Kite trio

On Wednesday 28th August we are Gigrin Farm in mid-Wales at the Red Kite feeding station from 1pm - 5pm, the kites are fed at 3pm daily. If you are in the area do come along and see the amazing spectacle of masses of Red Kites coming in very close to feed. We will be join by a member of the Focal Point Optics team at this event so a great opportunity to talk about optics and recieve the best possible advice.

Dyfi Ospreys Aug 2013 On Thursday 29th August we will be at the Dyfi Osprey Project from 10am - 4pm. The young Ospreys are on the wing but still at the nest and we should have wonderful views of the family. There is always plenty to see at the reserve with regular sightings of other raptors, warblers on the heath, feeders busy with Lesser Redpoll and Siskin. Sample the lovely cakes in the Osprey Cafe, we know we will! The reserve is just a few minutes north of RSPB Ynys-hir on the beautiful Dyfi Estuary so make a day of it.

Black Grouse April 2013 3

On Friday 30th August we will be at Llandegla Forest in the visitor centre car park from 10am - 4pm. The forest has Crossbills, Siskins and raptors and the nearby moors have many great birds including both Black and Red Grouse. The visitor centre also has a wonderful cake with great bacon butties! We will be able to help you find the wonderful birds of this scenic area close to Wrexham. See the link below for more information on Coed Llandegla.

Lesser Redpoll

On Saturday 31st August we will be at Llyn Brenig on the Denbigh Moors a very scenic area of rolling moors, forest and lake. The area holds many special birds including Goshawk, Crossbill, Red Grouse and a few Black Grouse. We will be scanning the sky for passing raptors and keeping an eye on the tree tops for flocks of mobile Crossbill. The visitor centre over looks the lake and serves a great fisherman's breakfast worth the visit alone!

Treecreeper

On Sunday 1st September we will be at Pensychnant Nature Reserve above Conwy on the Sychnant Pass, a lovely place, packed with birds and lovely woodland walks with stunning views from adjacent Conwy Mountain. The reserve is a tranquil haven for wildlife and if you have not visited you will be delighted by Pensychnant. We will also have free refreshments here, as there is no cafe, including delicous cakes! We will again be joined by Focal Point Optics at this event so do come along and chat about optics and try out the latest Leica products. Each event will include a free prize draw for a pair of Leica binoculars drawn on the day. We will have all the latest bird information form all over North Wales and beyound.
