Sweden picture and more...
Here is another pic from our trip to the Island of Oland, Sweden. It was very cold at the Bird Observatory, near the point, early morning and we and all the other birders were frozen! So, when the café opened there was a rush for hot drinks and birding was forgotten, all be it temporarily!A walk on the Great Orme, Llandudno just behind our house this morning produced a few migrants. At dawn Redwings and Fieldfares were calling in the scrub and some sat up on top of the hawthorns. Finches were passing over in small numbers, most were Chaffinches and Greenfinches with a few Brambling amongst them. Bird of the morning was a juvenile Ring Ouzel that flew into bushes at the back of the cemetery, landed, then flew on south. Two Chough drifted over head calling wildly were wonderful to see.
