  • analysing anonymised data to help us understand how people interact with our website so we can make them better

You can manage these small files and learn more about them from the article, Internet Browser cookies- what they are and how to manage them

Sharing birds with Pledge 2 Fledge!

Pledge to Fledge

Sharing birds with Pledge 2 Fledge

We all know how much we enjoy watching birds. But have you thought about sharing that enjoyment with someone new to birdwatching? Now you can with Pledge 2 Fledge!

Pledge to Fledge (P2F) is an international grassroots campaign to encourage us all to introduce our friends and acquaintances to the pleasure of watching wild birds. It is a terrific opportunity to share our love for birdwatching with others, and to help people discover the excitement of birds while connecting with the natural world around them.

Take a closer look - birds are amazing!

P2F can help you enthuse your non-birdwatching friends into becoming a casual birdwatcher, and then, ideally, into someone concerned about bird conservation and the environment. YOU have the capacity to enhance the lives of birds and people alike – simply by sharing your own enthusiasm for birds!

Sharing the excitement of watching birds is great fun

We need your help to make P2F a success. Please be a part of P2F and make your “Pledge 2 Fledge” a new birder TODAY! Just type in the following link and it will take you straight to the Pledge: http://www.globalbirdinginitiative.org/pledge-2-fledge/the-pledge

All you are pledging is your commitment to share birds with others in order to fuel their curiosity and awareness of the natural world around them. It couldn’t be simpler. And it’s all free!

But please don’t stop there. We know you are just the person to take an active role in P2F by helping to ‘fledge’ a new birdwatcher near you – a friend, a relative, perhaps a group that you’re already involved with – by taking them out birdwatching with you and sharing the wonderful wildlife experience you already enjoy. You could be an important part of this exciting global initiative to share birds with others.

On 24th – 26th August 2012, birdwatchers across six continents are taking friends and other non-birders out to see and enjoy birds for the first time, sharing their day with the world through photos, videos, and stories on the P2F website and social media channels. If you can take someone out to look at birds that weekend, it would be brilliant to be part of this global birdwatching event. But if you can’t make that date, don’t worry. Any day or time is a great time to fledge a new birdwatcher and share the pleasure of watching birds!

Conwy RSPB

Conwy RSPB Reserve

We're holding a warm-up event at RSPB Conwy reserve tomorrow Sunday 12th August from 10am to 4pm. We'll be in the hides all day sharing the birds with people and enthusing about Pledge 2 Fledge, so do come along and say hello. We hope to see you there!
