Ospreys return to North Wales
Ospreys return to North Wales
Brilliant news today - a pair of Ospreys have returned to the nest site in the Glaslyn Valley, North Wales. These amazing birds have made the journey from West Africa back to Wales in some awful weather. With the freezing conditions and lots of snow still on the ground you could not have blamed them for staying in Africa, or turning right around and heading back south!

We love to see Ospreys, and are very lucky that we even see them from our window here in Llandudno just occasionally! No doubt we will be calling in at the Osprey Project at Pont Croeso near Porthmadog on our North Wales tours this Spring and Summer. We also hope the Dyfi Osprey Project birds will soon be back, watch this space for updates, and will agian be visiting the great set up there.
More signs of Spring in Wales today, despite the cold, include a drake Garganey in Pembrokeshire and a fine male Wheatear at RSPB Conwy.
