North West Bird Watching Festival
The North West Bird Watching Festival at Martin Mere WWT
Today we had a great day out, along with around 1300 visitors, at Martin Mere WWT for the North West Birdwatching Festival.
Apart from the usual spectacle of thousands of geese, ducks and wild swans on the mere, today there were also plenty of additional activities for visitors.
There were stalls offering outdoor clothing and birding books, but of course, we were there to give a talk about The Biggest Twitch. With a queue at the door before we started, we knew the pressure was on, and in fact there was standing room only as the lecture theatre was packed for our talk. A great audience, and we're looking forward to doing it all over again tomorrow. Hope to see you there!
