North Wales Uplands Bird Tour
North Wales Uplands Bird Tour
We picked up Etienne, Matt and Ken and headed south into the uplands of North Wales
Our first target bird seen quickly as this stunning Great grey Shrike showed off.
The larch trees held plenty of Crossbills and hundreds of Siskins in noisy flocks.
As we watched one gang of Crossbills this magnificent Goshawk flew right over us!
A pair of Red Gouse were watched on a moorland area, we were very lucky to enjoy views like these.
It was one of those days when the birds really showed off for us. Highlights included three sightings of Goshawks, Red Kite, Great grey Shrike, dozens of Crossbills, hundreds of Siskins, Red Grouse, Dipper, Fieldfare, Redwing and more.
All photos by Etienne - many thanks for sharing the images. Check out his Flicker page here -
