Birding in Norfolk with The Biggest Twitch - Day 2
After our great start on Day 1, we were out at dawn the next day.

Dew covered the cobwebs after a cool night
We headed straight to RSPB Titchwell, and weren't disappointed as we enjoyed great views of loads of waders at close range.

Juvenile Ruff

Avocet and Ruff

Black-tailed Godwits
We also watched elusive Bearded Tits skimming the reeds and Cetti's Warbler in the bushes, while Marsh Harriers cruised over the marshes.

Bottoms up at Holkham Park!

For some reason, nobody fancied venison for supper!

The North Scrape at Cley NWT was also busy with waders including Curlew Sandpiper and Little Stints.

Green Sandpiper and juvenile Ringed Plover
We then moved onto an area of heathland, looking beautiful at this time of year with the heather and gorse in flower.

Here we enjoyed good views of Dartford Warbler and Stonechat. After a quick stop for supper we headed out again and against a dramatic sunset we had amazing views of several Nightjars who flew incredibly close to where we stood.

What a fantastic end to our second bird-filled day in Norfolk. Could we keep this up for Day 3?
