Leica BirdBox on the road in Wales
Leica BirdBox on the road in Wales
The beautiful countryside of Wales for the second Leica Birdbox Tour.
Gigrin Kite Feeding Station was first stop.
The tower made the perfect place to see the Red Kites.
The Red Kites were right above us!
These are the most stunning of raptors.
Gigrin is one of the very best places to see these birds.
Lots of people gathered to watch the spectacle.
The tower also proved ideal for snapping some passing kites.
As you can see from this lovely shot.
At 3pm the kites swooped down to enjoy a free meal.
Caption anyone?
Not a bad view from the Leica Birdbox.
Day two of the Welsh Leica Birdbox tour saw as at the Dyfi Osprey Project.
Each day, on the Leica Birdbox, we hold a free prize draw for a pair of binoculars.
Always lovely to make someones day!
The brand new Leica binoculars were soon in action.
Runner up prizes of exclusive Leica Polo shirts for two lucky winners.
Next stop Llandegla Forest visitor centre where the rain held off.
Very popular with mountain bikers, walkers and birdwatchers.
In the land of dragons!
Llyn Brenig Visitor Centre next on the Denbigh Moors.
This juvenile Song Thrush was very confiding by the car park.
Last stop Pensychnant Nature Reserve Conwy, the locals were interested!
It was good to see plenty of local birders coming along.
Not everyone had come to look at binoculars.
Alan R came to pick up his new Leica scope, if he can get his hands on it!
It had been a great tour, meeting so many wonderful people, talking birds, birding and binoculars. We can't wait for our next outing with the Leica Birdbox.
