We cross the border into Namibia

We leave Botswana and enter Namibia


This Southern Carmine Bee eater was on wires at the border


Roadside stop to admire our first Elephant, who looked less than pleased to see us!


Walking through a wood we discovered a flock of amazing Pennant winged Nightjars


Not a great shot but does show the pennants on this males wings, weird!


On the banks of the Zambesi River we found Schalow's Turaco


No such thing as a bad Turaco! What a beauty.


We had left behind the tents and were now staying in lovely lodges


The birding was amazing, here a Slaty Egret, in just one day we clocked up 175 species!
