In the land of the midnight sun
In the land of the midnight sun

We reach the Arctic circle! Already a lot of great birds enjoyed with lots more to come further north.

Pine Grosbeak was high on everyone's most wanted list and we had amazing views at two sites on three occasions - plenty of time to soak up the views.

Another of the highly prized "northern" birds, the stunning Siberian Jay, a lovely confiding individual we watched for a long time.

A bird that can be absent some years, Hawk Owl, so we were very happy to enjoy five of these amazing birds, including a juvenile, watching us.

Adult Hawk Owl, four of these mega birds were enjoyed during our tour, three of which we found in the forests for ourselves, a major result!
Lots more pictures and stories to come soon, please check back when you have a chance.
