Getting Ready for Birding in Catalonia
Getting Ready for Birding in Catalonia
With only two weeks to go before we head off for a week's birding in Catalonia, we've taken a look back at the photos we took when we visited the area last year.
We'll be starting in the Ebro Delta, looking forward to masses of waders, wildfowl, gulls and Terns in this fantastic wetland area on the coast.

Then we'll head north into the plains area, looking for the dry grassland specialities.
Last time we visited, we enjoyed so many views of these wonderful multi-coloured European Bee-eaters in the area
Then we head up into the mountains towards the Pyrennees. The scenery is quite spectacular, and we're sure the birding will be too!
This handsome Citril Finch flew in close and perched up on a fencepost right beside us
Not long now, we're really looking forward to enjoying some fantastic birding in wonderful surroundings, oh and maybe some wine and tapas too to round off our birding day!
