A fun day at RSPB Conwy

Our book signing at RSPB Conwy on Sunday went very well indeed. Right on the stroke of 10am we had people waiting for books to be signed. Great to meet so many lovely people, all eager to read The Biggest Twitch book. We were just getting into the swing of the signing when news came in from the reserve outside, Wood Sandpiper and 2 Little Stints were showing well. This was too much to bear! We abandoned our public and dashed along the boardwalk and were soon watching a lovely juvenile Wood Sandpiper at close range. At the back of the same pool were two Little Stints, again both juvenile birds. We were loving these scarce waders, and then we remembered the book signing. Back at the visitor centre a queue had formed and we quickly got back done to signing books. It was busy all morning and right on the stroke of mid-day we signed the last copy of The Biggest Twitch that the RSPB had! Amazing we had sold all the shop stock in just two hours! Luckily we had some books with us just in case so the afternoon visitors were not disappointed. We had a surprise visitor when our friend Iolo Williams popped in to buy a book. Iolo’s two sons had been playing rugby in Llandudno so took the chance to call in and say hello. All too soon it was 4pm and our day was over, huge thank you to everyone at RSPB Conwy for making us so welcome, a great day!

We have a number of days guided birding in North Wales with a few places up for grabs if you would like details of these great fun birding trips to see wonderful birds just drop us a line info@thebiggesttwitch.com you are sure to see great birds!
