Brick Children School talk a big success!
Fawn breasted brilliant Hummingbird in Ecuador 2008
We had a great evening helping raise funds for the Brick Children School in Nepal. The Theatir Twm o’r Nant was a perfect venue with a huge screen and great seating. Carole Green and all the other volunteers put on a great spread of free trade cheese and wine and a great crowd turned out to help this great cause. After much cheese, wine and chat, Carole showed a film about the Brick School in the Kathmandu valley. The images of the children, hard at work in the brick fields were a stark contrast to the smiling faces of the kids in the school loving learning. It really brought home how vital an education is to these children long may the Brick Children School charity work continue! We then gave a talk on The Biggest Twitch, we changed the talk to include more mammals and scenic shots and the audenice loved it! Loads of questions followed before we signed copies of our book, making a £3 donation to the Brick Children School for each book sold. A great evening and a huge thank you to everyone involved and all those that help make the evening a huge success.
