Book launch weekend in Wales!

This weekend is the official Welsh launch of The Biggest Twitch book and of course, with all the connections, it really had to take place at Conwy RSPB. Tonight we’re getting together with a few special friends to say thank you for all their support in making The Biggest Twitch possible. While Alan is busy working at an optics demo near Coventry, Ruth is chopping up several tonnes of fruit to make a special ‘Toucan Punch’ with a little supervision from Toco. Hope people are thirsty tonight.

Tomorrow (Sunday 5th September), Conwy RSPB is holding a book signing event at the reserve. From 10am until midday, and from 2-4pm we’ll both be signing copies of our book in the Conwy RSPB Shop. The first edition has completely sold out, so this is the chance to buy one of the few remaining copies and have it signed too. We’d love to see you there and have a chat. It’s also your chance to see the progress of the work to deepen the lagoon in front of the Coffee Shop, as shown on BBC Wales News yesterday. A large digger is excavating out the lagoon to make it deeper so it retains more water during dry spells and a whole new island is appearing in the middle.
