Biggest Twitch Birding Adventures in Suffolk
Biggest Twitch Birding Adventures in Suffolk
With Rose, Roy, Pete, Theresa and Helen on board, we knew we'd be in for a fun birdwatching trip over to Suffolk. And with sites like RSPB Minsmere and large areas of heathland to explore, we were sure of enjoying some great birds too. Add to the mix our very comfortable accommodation on the doorstep of the birding with delicious dinners to satisfy the inner birder, we were really on to a winner!
We spent much of our time exploring the fantastic reserve of RSPB Minsmere, and enjoyed some brilliant birds. The Garganey and Water Pipit showed off right in front of us from the Island Mere Hide, while we needed the fingers of both hands to count the number of outstanding Bittern sightings!

Migrants were still slow in coming through as they have been across the whole country this spring, but we enjoyed our first Swallow sighting and found two Black Redstarts close to the beach, while other highlights included Dartford Warblers and Woodlarks.

More birds and photos to follow soon, so do check back! And if you'd like more information about our guided birdwatching trips to Suffolk, please email us on

We look forward to hearing from you and sharing great birds with you!
