With a flock of Wood Larks just down the road had to go back for another look. After a short wait a Wood Lark flew in landed in the stubble field. It was only when this bird landed we noticed the rest of the flock creeping mouse like through the dead vegetation, really hard to pick out! Luckily the birds moved closer into a more open patch of stubble where views were much better, but still impossible to photograph. Two Stock Dove flew over, always good to see in this area, and a Woodcock flew up from a ditch.Another birder arrived with news of a Waxwing seen in Llandudno! We hurried over there but sadly no sign despite a good tour of the area.Later Ruth suggested we check west shore at Llandudno to see if the Black Redstart was still around. As the bird had not been reported for a couple of weeks I thought it was a waste of time but the sun was shining so why not?We had not been there more than a minute when a small dusky bird popped up on the roof of the new flats, Black Redstart! This lovely bird showed off in the sunshine, great!
