Anglesey
We enjoyed a really great day out guiding on Anglesey with Debra and Ceri, a lovely couple from South Wales.
We started the day with a very cute Red Squirrel feeding in some pines, nearby a female Gadwall with three young was great to see.
On the nearby estuary three Greenshank were the highlight amongst a good selection of waders which also included a large flock of Curlew.
At Beddmanarch Bay we watched Bar tailed Godwits and two Mediterraean Gulls as we enjoyed a welcome cuppa and met a lovely Irish chap who we helped boost his holiday bird list before he hurried off to catch the ferry home.

Black Guillemots were just where we hoped they would be and showed off in the sunshine.
At RSPB South Stack we soaked up the stunning scenery and wonderful scope views of Puffins. Chough tumbled and called over head before landing on the cliff face as Manx Shearwaters past offshore. Two Rock Pipits played chased amongst the boulders.

At Cemlyn Lagoon we enjoyed close up views of Sandwich, Arctic and Common Terns always great to compare these species with prolonged views both in flight and on the ground. A female Red-breasted Merganser tried to keep control of a huge brood of newly hatched young. Waders included Whimbrel, Dunlin and Ringed Plover, more Manx Shearwaters were offshore along with majestic Gannets. A gang of vocal Atlantic Grey Seals were hauled out on the rocks.
