Afternoon tea at Penmon Point, Anglesey

The walk began by the Priory at Penmon and we were soon seeing birds.

We watched Moorhens building a nest on the fish pond

Waterlilies were in flower on the clear waters

We enjoyed wonderful views of two juvenile Peregrines sitting screaming for food!

Spotted Orchids were everywhere, a wonderful carpet of wildflowers to enjoy.

Anyone know which species of pine produces these monster cones?

The lighthouse at Penmon Point, the sea here teeming with birds!

Black Guillemots, above, Puffins and Eider were all enjoyed

The RAF laid on a fly past for us!

Then the main event, cake and tea at the Pilot House Cafe, yummy!
Why not join us for one of our gentle half day Birds, Boots and Butties walks? A perfect introduction to great birding with The Biggest Twitch and great cakes!!
