We awoke to the sound of torrential rain still hammering down. Inevitably it was a slow start to the day as we sat on the verandah watching some very wet hummingbirds and tanagers coming to the feeders. Eventually rain eased enough for us to venture out onto the muddy trails but birding was slow. However, we did manage some new species including Green Manakin and Chestnut-winged Foliage-gleaner but these additions were eclipsed by our first really good view of a superb male Razor-billed Curassow perched in full view.
