Moving on from Mole National Park, we birded the Tono Dam and the Tongo Hills very close to the Burkina Faso border.  Birding around a sacred area in the hills where the gods live in the rocks, divine help ensured we picked up the heavenly Rock-loving Cisticola and Sun Lark.  Around the paddyfields and farmland beside the dam we saw Collared and Black-winged Pratincoles amongst the many waders and mosquitoes enjoying the damp conditions, and also added Black-faced Quailfinch, Vieillot's Barbet and White-rumped Seedeater to our list.  Still well ahead of schedule, we're now on 1803 species for the year, with Chestnut-bellied Starling making Bird Number 1800.Posted 6pm, 13th March, Kumasi, Ghana
