23rd September
Our first chance to explore this vast National Park of rolling grasslands and forest patches at 2,500 meters above sea-level. The dawn air was cold but new birds were at the bottom of the garden! Churring and Black-lored Cisticolas were both singing and showing well at the edge of a small lake. Another twelve more new birds were added including Buff-shouldered Widowbird, Scarce Swift and Malachite Sunbird.
Bird species total 3200
