We spent the morning birding at Reserve Nacional De Lachay, north of Lima. An area inland of the Pan American highway and watered by mists that roll in across the desert from the Pacific ocean. We had been told the area had patches of forest but sadly the majority of the trees were long dead. But the reserve still held lots of birds, the vast majority Rufous-collared Sparrows the place was over-run with them. The entrance track again produced great looks at Least Seedsnipe also Greyish Miner, new. In the reserve proper we added Andean Tinamou, two walking across the track in front of us, Bare-eyed Ground Dove, Raimondi's Yellow-finch, Collared Warbling-finch. We also enjoyed great looks at Black chested Buzzard eagles. We then back south to Lima and found a lot less traffic than yesterday so easily found our way to the hotel. Overnight Lima then we fly to Cusco in the morning.Total bird species 2772
