29 October a hectic day dashing south of Sydney picking up great birds. The area gave us such great additions as Superb Lyrebird and Rock Warbler, both showed off really well. Further south we did some seawatching, very different from home, birds were close inshore and passing in their 1000s without a gale blowing! Just wonderful could have stayed all day but time did not allow. During our to brief vigil we picked up Fluttering Shearwater, Short tailed Shearwater, Hutton's Shearwater and Wedge tailed Shearwater all new, plus Sooty Shearwater and Australian Gannet and as a bonus some whales breaching just offshore. The heaths of Royal NP gave us Southern Emuwren and Chesnut-rumped Heath-wren.Bird species total 3631 just 32 needed!
