Finland and Norway premier European birding

Stellers Eider 4

Our tour this year to Finland and northern Norway was just fantastic! Some of the very best birding Europe has to offer, we enjoyed over 200 species including some very special birds. We are again running this amazing tour in 2015 and would love you to join us. Our group is limited to just six participants with three guides, Alan and Ruth with an expert local guide throughout. This small group ensures everyone has the very best experience, birding in forests with a larger group can mean that some people miss key species. Over many years of running this tour we have built up an excellent net work of local contacts and this ensures we have all the latest bird news. This year this proved very useful when a drake Harlequin and a Rose-coloured Starling arrived in Norway while we were there! Some groups missed these great birds as both moved on quickly.

The list of birds on this tour is just mouth-watering and includes dream birds such as Hawk Owl, Great grey Owl, Siberian Jay, Steller's Eider and more. The breeding birds in the north are just amazing with such great species as Bluethroat, Rustic, Little and Lapland Buntings, Shore Lark, birding on the tundra is magical! It is quite possible to watch Long-tailed Skua overhead as Long-tailed Duck dive in a pool as Temminck's Stints display just feet away while Willow Grouse strut their stuff, magic!

If you would to book or recieve more details on the tour please email us on..
